Papillon is Orin Swift's Bordeaux style blend. Ruby red with a huge nose of campfire, blackberry, toast and cedar. On the palate there's flavors of wild strawberry, sweet vanilla, rhubarb and sassafras. Its tannins have already softened and the wine is spectacular poured right from the bottle, but a brief decant will open the aromas and flavors even more. It is well-balanced and powerful! with a long, silky finish.
Orin Swift Cellars DescriptionThe wine has a very dense garnet hue with a slight stain of cardinal on the rim. Aromas of plum and cassis are built around soft French oak and cedar box nuances. The entry is intense, yet elegant with loads of boysenberry and dark fruit flavors. Well integrated tannin chains provide for a long, soft finish. |
